Electrical & Structural Composites & Pre-pregs

Electronic composites emphasize high thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion, low dielectric constant, high/low electrical conductivity and/or electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness, depending on the particular electronic application. However, structural composites are entirely different and emphasize on high strength and high modulus. Prepregs are reinforced fabrics pre- impregnated with a resin system and this helps maintain the resin content and obtain maximum cured properties, that are generally impossible to achieve in normal hand lamination.
